What a bizarre idea--if something is legal, you believe that
automatically makes it right and proper.  It is lawful to call you a

It may be right and proper in some occasions, for instance if you are my close friend and I made a foolish mistake, that is right and proper.

So don't take offense, now--you said this was proper.

GNU is not just a technical project, its essence is an ethical
principle.  Non-free software is not illegal, but we believe it is
unethical.  We believe in other, less radical ethical principles too.
Giving people credit for their work is often not legally required, but
we think it is the right thing to do.

As I mentioned in my previous e-mail, I agree that giving people credit - is a right thing to do, but renaming somebody's product to do that - is not.
