Well here's my coin!

First of all, this was definietly a good conversation, I almost fell of my
chair watching all this traffic on this list this morning, that means one of
the goals has already been reached :)
Personally, I have to say though that I favour web-forums. I simpley love them and use them all the time when I need help, when I won't to ask something or whatever. Forums are static, I can do searches and see if someone has already answered my question, and I can easily help others. So.. is it only me that's a friend of phpBB?

Second. I'm working as a developer, building and selling an ERP/Business system, (windows-only unfortunately) I think I have some experience in how it works (at least on paper). I'm still considering myself being a rookie Developer though, I've done some Java Courses and I've played in Python/PHP and that's about it. Anyway, I've tried GNUe a couple of times, and I think it's very interesting, and definietly promising. The whole idea behind it is great! But then, as pointed out, Documentation sucks. Sure, in some old version that I really took the time to play with, I managed to create my Forms and I connected them to simple MySQL databases and entered my data.. but what then? The documenatation, examples, really need some good work. If this could be done, a lot of amateurs (like me) could startup and then spread the word as we get wiser, I actually think this is quite important. And yes, I could help, if I had the basic knowledge, so the "Quick start" path must be fixed.
A really nice idea that someone(?) had, about having a package that "magically"
setup your small business server. That one almost put tears in my eyes :)

Keep up the good work, Best regards to all of you
